An interesting problem came up this week.\u00a0 We encountered a situation where the we needed a document’s location abbreviation instead of the full name.<\/p>\n

Centricity supports several expressions that retrieve the locations, but not all methods include the abbreviation:<\/p>\n

  2. DOCUMENT.LOCOFCARE (undocumented)<\/li>\n
  3. PATIENT.HOMELOCATIONNAME<\/li>\n
  4. PATIENT.HOMELOCATIONABBREVNAME<\/li>\n
  5. USER.CURLOCATIONNAME<\/li>\n
  6. USER.CURLOCATIONABBREVNAME<\/li>\n
  7. USER.HOMELOCATIONNAME<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    To get the abbreviation for the document’s location, this expression appears to work well with a single call:<\/p>\n

    DOCUMENT.LOCOFCARE actually returns the\u00a0LOCID for the document’s location of care. This allows find to use the location abbreviation using the table’s key.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
